A glimpse at the woman behind the camera

I’m Hannah.

I’ve been a photographer for the better part of the last decade. This work has been a resting place, a personal limit pusher, and a solid source of peace through all of my time with it.

Creativity is in my blood. I’ve found that I feel most like myself when I’m in creative flow. The flow finds me through a myriad of avenues — photography, music and its creation, and even a good journaling sesh.

Through it all, I crave connection. We all do. With my work, I have a unique opportunity to simultaneously connect with people on the soul level and create beautiful things to cherish for a lifetime. Man, that’s something special.

Here are some fun facts so I don’t ramble poetically!

- I was born and raised in Kentucky and currently call it home, but have also lived in California and Florida

- I can whistle through my teeth

- A good cup of tea usually does the trick on bad days (Throat Coat is my favorite)

- Peonies are my favorite flowers and I have one tattooed on the back of my hand

I’m glad we exist at the same time. Love ya! Mean it!

Life has a way of quickly changing your perspective, so I’ve looked at things through a multitude of metaphorical lenses. My focus these days? There is no such thing as “mundane”.

Rain on glass. Sun beams cutting through full and sprawling branches. Quiet rooms slowly filling with laughter. Every detail holds an almost spiritual beauty that simply longs to be noticed.

How blessed are we to be alive right now? To have experienced love in any of its forms? To have found ourselves? I strive to encapsulate the magic of those things in every photo I take.

Here’s a glimpse into my camera roll as a way for you to peek into my mind. Words are tough.

I’m always taking photos
